Eugene Wusaty Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Prior to becoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wusaty was President of Ivanhoe Mines' Coal Division and then Chief Operating Officer of SouthGobi Energy Resources Ltd following its acquisition of Ivanhoe Mine's Coal Division in 2006. Prior to joining Ivanhoe Mines, Mr Wusaty served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Grande Cache Coal Corporation.
Mr Wusaty is a professional mining engineer with 30 years of mining-related operational experience, with responsibilities in underground and open-pit coal mining and coal-fired power generation operations in Alberta and British Columbia. In the coal industry he has worked for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd, Elk Valley Coal Corp, Fording Coal Ltd, Quintette Coal Ltd and Grande Cache Coal Corporation in various positions including Mine Manager and Manager of Engineering.
Dermot Lane Vice President, Development

Mr Lane holds the position of Vice President, Development where he is responsible for permitting, environmental, and government affairs work on the Vista and Vista South Coal Project’s. Mr Lane is based out of the Calgary office.
Mr Lane is highly experienced in the development and permitting of Western Canadian coal mines and has an unparalleled knowledge of the regulatory environment. Mr Lane spent 30 years with Elk Valley Coal and its predecessor Fording Coal where he held a variety of senior positions including Director of Corporate and Public Affairs and Director of Environmental Affairs.
David Leslie Vice President, Corporate Development

Mr Leslie holds the position of Vice President, Corporate Development where he is responsible for mine engineering work, including the delineation of reserves, on the Vista and Vista South Coal Project’s. Mr Leslie is based out of the Calgary office.
Mr Leslie is highly experienced in the development of open pit mines and mine planning for Western Canadian coal mines. Mr Leslie has spent over 20 years in the mining industry and has held a variety of senior positions in Elk Valley Coal and its predecessor Fording Coal, Teck Resources and AMEC.
Wayne Drier Vice President, Commercial

Mr Drier holds the position of Vice President, Commercial where he is responsible for corporate finance and the business development activities of the Company, including structuring of the project finance required for the development of the Vista Coal Project.
Mr Drier has over 15 years experience in business development, commercial and corporate finance roles within major mining companies and investment banks. Prior to joining Coalspur, Mr Drier was the Commercial Executive for Mantra Resources Limited, a TSX/ASX listed uranium exploration company, where he oversaw the recent sale of the company to JSC Atomredmetzoloto for an all-cash consideration of A$1.02 Billion. While in this position Mr Drier was also responsible for negotiating off-take arrangements and managing a number of the commercial aspects of the bankable feasibility study on the company’s uranium project.
Allan McGowan Vice President, Site Development

Mr McGowan holds the position of Vice President, Site Development and is responsible for all phases of the ongoing development of the Vista Project. Mr McGowan is based out of the Hinton Office.
Mr McGowan has 29 years experience in Canadian Mining Operations as a Senior Manager at two Hinton Coal Mines, Obed Mountain Coal and Cardinal River Mine. In addition Mr McGowan held senior positions at two mining equipment OEM’s.
Gordon Mudryk Manager, Coal Processing

Mr Mudryk holds the position of Manager, Coal Processing and Logistics where he is responsible for logistics and process design on the Vista and Vista South Coal Project’s. Mr Mudryk is based out of the Hinton office.
Mr Mudryk is highly experienced in the design, operation and management of Western Canadian coal handling and processing plants. Mr Mudryk has spent over 20 years in the coal mining and processing industry and has held a variety of senior positions Elk Valley Coal, Luscar and Dension Mines.
John Innis Chief Geologist

Mr Innis holds the position of Chief Geologist where he is responsible for the delineation of resources and reserves, on the Vista and Vista South Coal Project’s. Mr Innis is based out of the Calgary office.
Mr Innis is highly experienced in the delineation and drilling of resources and reserves in Western Canadian mines. Mr Innis has spent over 20 years in the mining industry and has held a variety of senior positions Fording Coal, Shell Canada and Gulf Canada.
Jay Bell Vice President, Finance and acting Chief Financial Officer

Mr Bell holds the positions of Vice President, Finance and acting CFO where he is responsible for financial management and control of the company. Mr Bell is based out of the Calgary office.
Mr Bell holds a Bachelor of Management degree and has been a Chartered Accountant since 1993. Mr Bell has over twenty years of financial and operational experience with large public and small private companies. Through his involvement in operational and corporate roles at Teck Coal and its predecessors he has gained extensive knowledge of coal mining production, sales, logistics, business process development and systems implementation.
David Montpetit Director, Transportation and Logistics

Mr Montpetit holds the position of Director, Transportation and Logistics where he is responsible for negotiating and securing agreements and logistical arrangements with rail and port providers. Mr Montpetit is based out of the Calgary office.
Mr Montpetit has over 25 years of management experience in various roles in marketing, sales, and transportation logistics. Prior to joining Coalspur, Mr Montpetit was National Account Manager, Canadian Coal for Canadian National Railway where he was responsible for the logistics, contract negotiations and business development in the bulk commodity division.
