The regulatory process that our Vista Coal Project is following is described in Section 20 of the feasibility study that was recently completed. This feasibility study is located in the Announcements section of the Coalspur website. In accordance with our development timeline, Coalspur will be submitting regulatory applications for the eastern section of our coal leases on Vista and in support of this process we recently received the final Terms of Reference for the Environmental Impact Assessment for this area from Alberta Environment and Water.
Coalspur filed the regulatory applications for Vista in early May 2012. These applications include an Environmental Impact Assessment, regulatory applications under the Coal Conservation Act, Alberta Environmental Enhancement Act, Water Act, and Public Lands Act. Once approved, Coalspur will have government consent to construct, operate and commission the first phase of Vista, which will allow for production of up to 5.0Mtpa for 20 years. Following submission of these regulatory applications, Coalspur will commence the technical and environmental studies to support regulatory applications for the second phase of Vista, which will expand the capacity of Vista from 5.0Mtpa to 12.0Mtpa.
